Very happy with my purchase, I bought a few as gifts as well. Came as advertised
I was happy to be able to find this for our grandkids to play when they come over. It is an entertaining game similar to one of the expensive brands out there. I am happy with the quality of this ice-block breaking game. The penquin is a perfect addition.
I ordered this game for my kids to add to their board game selection and because they've seen similar games advertised on tv. The instructions were a little odd due to the apparent translation to English, but it's a simple game and the kids usually make up their own directions anyway.
This is supposed to be good for players age three and up. My six year old had no problem other than the hand-eye coordination of choosing and hammering only one little "ice blocks". Also, an adult or older child would need to put the last few blocks back in because they are harder to get snapped in place.
The game came with enough "ice blocks" to fill the board and one extra. I have no doubt the extra will be needed, although you could still probably play the game with missing pieces.
The game is similar to Jenga in that certain pieces cannot be removed without the whole thing falling down. It takes longer to put it together than to play the game, but that doesn't matter to my six year old. She just made a game of putting it back together. Using different patterns, some upside down, putting stickers on them, etc. The game has actually held her interest longer than I thought it would. Even though the game pieces are not the best quality (we don't even use the included spinner because it doesn't spin), we have enjoyed this game and I think it's worth the price.
*Tip- instead of taking the legs off each time to put the blocks back in place as the instructions state, just turn the whole thing over and put the blocks in upside down.
